Girls Debut

With some parts of Australia in Stage 4 lockdown, we are very lucky in Tasmania to have relative freedom. This has enabled us to recommence Dog Shows. So, on Saturday we ventured to our first show in just over 5 months. Whilst there are some changes, to ensure we are COVID compliant, it was great to be back in the ring. The Tasmanian border remains 'closed', so all foreseeable shows will be judged by local judges.

This show saw our young star, Liina (Armahani Moonstone Movtta (ai)) (9.5 months) make her challenge eligible debut. And she showed like a pro. Having not been in the ring since she was 4 months old, I was so impressed with how she handled being examined by judge Mr Paul Stevenson and then being out in the Best in Group lineup. It was great to have her open her account towards her Australian Champion title.

Also making her debut at this show was Fleur (Aust Ch. Armahani Iolite Ilo (ai) HT) (4.5 years), as a neuter. Cycling every four months and having two litters of puppies means Fleur has never been shown regularly. So I am really looking forward to having her out more consistently. Having said that, not all of our shows have 'neuter' class. But it was great to be back in the ring with her, on Saturday. Despite being a little naughty, because she too was very excited to be out there, she gained her first points towards her Australian Neuter Champion title.

Both girls will be back in the ring at our next show, in a month's time, where they will be joined by Fleur's son, Mishka (Zuleika Bombe Cerise) (11 months).

Meanwhile, after his amazing 2019, Benni is enjoying a well-earned break, giving me a chance to focus on the youngsters.
